During normal operation of the loom, the right end
of the weft stop lever is pressed down under the ten
-sion of the weft wire, and the left end of the weft
stop lever is lifted up to leave the weft stop contact.
When there is a weft break, the weft wire does not
act on the weft stop lever, and the left end of the weft
stop lever contacts the weft stop contact under the act
-ion of its tension spring, so that the weft stop circuit
is energized, resulting in a stop.
